Stat MedEvac, Air Methods Both Expanding EC Fleets
Air Methods Corporation has taken delivery of nine new
Eurocopter helicopters in 2009, maintaining its fleet upgrade
despite a challenging economy.
The deliveries included seven AS350B3s, one EC130, and one EC
135 in 2009. The helicopters join Air Methods' sizable fleet of
more than 330 helicopters providing emergency medical services
throughout the United States.

our customers."
Air Methods operates a variety of Eurocopter products, including
EC130s, EC135s, EC145s, AS350s, AS365s, BK117s and BO105s.

In a related development announced at the Air Medical
Transport Conference Tuesday, STAT MedEvac of West Mifflin,
Pennsylvania, said it is continuing to expand its fleet of EC135
helicopters, converting one of three existing options to a firm
order. The company has now ordered a total of 16 EC135s. The new
aircraft will be delivered in 2010.

STAT MedEvac was the first air medical provider to operate the
EC135 in the U.S. Today, STAT MedEvac operates 15 EC135s and
six EC145s.
