EASA Grants Part 145 Approval For All Engine Variants
Vector Aerospace Engines Services-United Kingdom has been
awarded an EASA Part 145 approval rating for all variants of the
Rolls Royce (RR) 250 model engine. The Rolls Royce 250 powers a
large number of helicopters and small fixed-wing aircraft, and has
been part of Vector's engine services offering for more than 20
years. From its location in the UK, Vector will support civil and
military RR250 model engine operators located throughout Europe and
the Middle East.
The EASA Part 145 award is the latest milestone in the
development of the enhanced capabilities at Vector's Fleetlands
facility, located in Gosport, Hampshire. Since acquiring the site
from the Ministry of Defence's DARA operation in 2008, Vector has
made significant investment; including a comprehensive
refurbishment of the engine shop to create a state-of-the-art
engine repair, overhaul and service center of excellence.

Boroscope Inspections and Failure Analysis for the P&WC's PT6A,
PT6T, JT15D and PW100 engine types are also available at the
Fleetlands engine facility.
Tim Rice, Managing Director of Vector Aerospace-UK says,
"Obtaining the Rolls Royce approval rating is a real boost for our
Engine Services business and reinforces the breadth of our core
competencies in maintenance, repair and overhaul of an extensive
list of engine types in supporting a growing customer base."
