Largest Trade Show Dedicated To The Helo Community
Becker Avionics says they are bringing the latest
communications, navigation, surveillance and search & rescue
equipment for airborne and ground applications to HeliExpo 2010 in
Houston, TX, from February 21 to 23, 2010. HeliExpo is the world's
largest trade show dedicated to the international helicopter
community.
“HeliExpo is an outstanding venue to meet with Aviation
professionals from a variety of companies, along with staying
abreast of industry and technology trends" said Brett Gardner,
Director of Sales and Marketing. "At this year’s show,
we’re introducing our newest generation Personal Locator
Beacon (PLB), the MR 510. It’s an exciting new professional
grade survival product which offers superb performance and
reliability in the most adverse environments. Also, we’re
continuing to showcase our hottest selling product, the DVCS 6100
Digital Audio and Intercom system. We were the first company to
develop a commercially certified Digital Audio system with
excellent performance at a competitive price. During the last
couple of years, we’ve seen a wide variety of
customer’s select this product. Our DVCS customer’s
range from law enforcement, EMS and fire fighting, to ISR
(Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance) market
segments”
Other products Becker will display at the show will
include:
- A recently TSO certified new Mode S Transponder line, the
BXP64XX (Class 1 and 2) with different form factors, to meet future
transponder technology requirements by enhancing safety and
situational awareness with aircraft traffic information. The
remote-controlled version of the Becker BXP series has been
selected by international aircraft manufacturers for "glass
cockpit", integrated avionics solutions. The 250 watt (Class 1)
model is complemented by the smaller 2 1/4" 150 Watt (Class 2),
single block unit, with extremely low power consumption. This model
is particularly suited for light aircraft and gliders.
- The latest 160mm Mode S Transponder was specifically developed
for the retrofit market and replaces the Bendix King KT-76
transponder with the same size panel fit, but with a much shallower
depth.
- The new high performance, compact, AR 6201 VHF-AM Transceiver
with 8.33 kHz channel spacing and integrated voice activated (VOX)
intercom system for up to four passengers. Built using
state-of-the-art DSP (Digital Signal Processing) technology, the AR
6201 continues the legacy of its predecessor, the AR 4201 VHF-AM
transceiver, which set the bench mark for reliability and
performance in its class. With more than 18,000 units sold, the AR
4201 has been the trustworthy companion for thousands of pilots
flying millions of flight-hours.
