Jet Aviation Forms 2 Regional Divisions For Its EMEA, Asia Operations

New Executives Named To Lead Restructured Divisions

Jet Aviation recently restructured its EMEA & Asia organization by forming two separate regional divisions, one for Asia and one for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). The company appointed Kim Chan as vice president and head of Jet Aviation Asia and Stefan Benz as vice president MRO and FBO services of its EMEA operations. To better align regional operations, Jet Aviation created a separate division for its EMEA regional operations and established a new regional division in the growing Asia market, consisting of Hong Kong, Singapore and Beijing.

Jet Aviation’s EMEA & Asia leadership team now includes Jürg Reuthinger, Aircraft Management & Charter; Neil Boyle, Jet Aviation Basel Completions; Johannes Turzer, Jet Aviation Basel and Geneva MRO & FBO and the newly appointed Kim Chan, Jet Aviation Asia, and Stefan Benz, MRO and FBO services EMEA, all reporting to Dan Clare, president of the Jet Aviation Group.

As head of Jet Aviation Asia operations, Beijing-based Kim Chan is responsible for regional growth, strategy and strengthening relationships with key customers, partners and government entities. Chan has held senior management positions in Asia for more than 20 years with companies including HNI International, Honeywell, Bombardier, Lucas Aerospace and most recently at China Alstom. Fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese, Chan earned a mechanical engineering degree from the University of New Haven and a master’s degree in business administration from Columbia University in New York.

Stefan Benz, who was appointed vice president for Jet Aviation’s MRO and FBO organization in EMEA, joined Jet Aviation in January 2011 as vice president MRO sales EMEA & Asia. He recently led the reorganization of the sales department by creating a local sales structure and established a new MRO sales and key account management organization. Benz oversees Jet Aviation’s MRO and FBO operations in Dubai, Dusseldorf, Jeddah, London Biggin Hill, Moscow Vnukovo, Riyadh and Zurich. Benz holds a degree in Aeronautical Engineering from Stuttgart University, Germany.

“We are forming two separate regional divisions for Asia and EMEA to meet the growing demand in Asia and to better serve our customers in these two regions,” said Clare. “Kim Chan brings vast experience and know-how to the new Asia organization, and coupled with his linguistic and cultural understanding of the region, he brings significant value to our leadership team.”

“Stefan Benz understands the inner-workings of our MRO and FBO network and he is known and respected by our customer base in EMEA,” Clare adds. “Expanding his scope of responsibility to include FBO services will ensure continuity of operations and underscores our commitment to providing our customers the highest level of service.”
