Airplane Valued At $1.5 Million Will Not Be Available Until Next Year
If you're looking for that perfect gift for someone for the holidays, how about a rose gold Cobalt Valkyrie-X airplane.
The three-place high-performance airplane, which won't actually make its debut until sometime next year, is on the Neiman Marcus "Fantasy Gifts" list for the holidays. All you'll need is a little patience and $1.5 million.
Considered one of the fastest piston-engine airplanes, the Valkyrie-X is powered by a 350-horsepower engine and boasts a top speed of 200 knots and a range of 1,000 nautical miles.
According to the Neiman Marcus website, the main structure is high-performance carbon composite, the flight controls feature full pushrod-bellcrank precision mechanisms, and the retractable landing gear is machined from solid alloys of aluminum and stainless steel. The private-club interior boasts hand-stitched leather seats and suede-like Alcantara, plus plentiful storage for golf clubs, skis, and suitcases. The shapely Valkyrie-X, inspired by classic fighter jets and built entirely in California, will also have the largest one-piece canopy in the world, providing breathtaking vistas for pilot and passengers alike.
The rose gold livery is exclusive to Neiman Marcus, and it extends to the flight controls. "Exclusive cream leather, surrounded by a just-for-us color scheme for the sumptuous beige-and-taupe headlining and anthracite carpets. The Neiman Marcus plane comes loaded with options and 24 /7 technical support in the United States for two years. It also comes with one other thing: the luster of luxury—not only of indulgence and privacy, but of saving time, too," the website says.
