Bearhawk owner Mark Goldberg has completed the first Bearhawk LSA quick-build kit. Goldberg’s aircraft was present at AirVenture-Oshkosh this year.
His Bearhawk LSA was readily identified by its bright red and silver Oratex covering. Goldberg’s Bearhawk LSA completed the journey from Texas to Oshkosh in 9.7 hours of flight time. Cruise speeds during the flight varied from 98 miles per hour burning 4.5 gallons per hour to 118 miles per hour using 6 gallons per hour. The Brazilian Civil Aviation Agency has granted type certification for the Legacy 500 executive jet. Embraer expects to receive certification from the FAA in the upcoming weeks and certification by EASA thereafter. Surf Air, the nation’s first All-You-Can-Fly membership airline, has ordered up to 65 new Pilatus aircraft to be delivered over the next five years, with a total order value of approximately $312 million. With this order, the company has formed an exclusive partnership with Pilatus Aircraft whereby Surf Air will be the only membership-based operator to utilize the PC-12 NG in North America.
