Bushwhacker and Rocky Mountain Wings Combine Forces

Bushwhacker Air, LLC, of Queensbury, New York and Rocky Mountain Wings, LLC – manufacturer of Award Winning Ridge Runner Aircraft - have combined forces, creating a new manufacturer of Experimental Aircraft.

In addition to designing, producing, and marketing new aircraft, the company will offer support for both the Ridge Runner as well as Flying K/Skyraider Aircraft.

They have also acquired all the tooling, parts and inventory from North Land Aircraft in Sun River, Montana, a producer of experimental PA-18 Supercub fuselage fittings and parts. PMA certification is expected at a later date.

Production of a new Ridge Runner 4 (shown above, right) 'Bushwhacker' – a Two-Seat, Side-by-Side, High Wing, Sport Pilot Legal Bush-plane will be undertaken in New York. Features include a 44” wide cabin, folding wings, extra-tall gear and power options from a Rotax 503 to the 7 cylinder ROTEC Radial. The Bushwhacker will be built utilizing the same techniques that the Schraders have perfected over the last 17 years.

Rocky Mountain Wings will continue to produce the Ridge Runner 1, 2, and 3 (shown right) series aircraft in Nampa, Idaho. Future plans include a Certified Light Sport Aircraft based on the Ridge Runner 3 and 4, and both an E-LSA and Experimental PA-18 Supercub Kit.

A dealer network is being established across the country, dealers are currently in Alaska and Texas.
