Norwood Flight Academy Awarded Air Agency Certificate

Receives Part 141 Designation

A Boston area flight school, Norwood Flight Academy, was awarded the FAA's Part 141 designation on Thursday.  The Part 141 Air Agency Certificate was presented by FAA inspector, Bob Berlyn.

The Training Specifications document was signed by NOFA's President, Michael Thomas. Under Federal Aviation Regulations Chapter 14 Part 141, a flight school can complete their certificates in fewer hours in exchange for adhering to certain agreements with the FAA. Some of those agreements include a structured and approved syllabus, approved training aircraft and part 141 approved personnel. Chief Flight Instructor Radek Wyrzykowski commented, "141 approval clearly represents that Norwood Flight Academy is committed to providing the highest quality training to our students."

NOFA's President Michael Thomas, agreed. "This is an important step in achieving our goal of becoming the leading flight school in the North East. Norwood Flight Academy uses a real world approach to learning, providing students with a rich set of aviation experiences to complement their training," he said. "NOFA's slogan is, "Mastering the Art of Aviation", intended to signify their commitment to excellence. It should also be noted that the school is protecting the environment by implementing the first completely paperless training and record keeping system in the area.
