Aero-TV: Dual GPS Solutions -- Maps, Weather, And Traffic To Your EFB Devices

Dual Boasts GPS Support for iOS or Android Platforms

While at the AOPA 2013 convention, ANN CEO and Editor-In-Chief, Jim Campbell met with Greg Lukins, Vice President of Business Development for the Dual Corporation.

The Dual Corporation specializes in providing devices that improve the operation and capabilities of equipment that are part of your electronic flight bag. In other words, it’s some real neat electronic hardware.

Lukins said one of their products is the XGPS 150. This is a GPS that wirelessly connects to any tablet or iPad. Their new XGPS 160 model provides a wireless connection for up to five tablet type devices. This opens up the fun of allowing passengers following along as they travel on their own tablet/iPad maps.

Dual also produces the XGPS 170, a portable battery-powered ADS-B receiver that wirelessly transmits to your tablet or iPad to provide weather, traffic awareness, and all the other features provided by ADS-B. The video also shows other useful features of these devices. Let’s face it, if your EFB isn’t full of goodies, you’re missing out.

Aero-TV is a production of the Internationally syndicated Aero-News Network.
