What's Worse Than Snakes On A Plane?

Ravenous Hamsters!

If you don't like snakes on a plane, how about mice on a plane? No? OK, how about, hamsters?

Apparently not those either.

Last Friday, an escapee -- hamster, that is -- grounded an Austrian jet departing Palma de Mallorca bound for Graz in Austria.

The furry rodent's owner smuggled it aboard, why we don't know. It got away from its owner, why we don't know.

What we do know is the domesticated rat's owner reported it missing at an interim stop in Innsbruck Austria. That's when he made a lot of friends among the other passengers.

Everyone had to get off and drag their bags to a waiting bus, which took them the rest of the way to Graz.

Like their less-adorable cousins, rats and mice, hamsters have sharp teeth, which they like to employ on whatever's handy. You know, like insulation, and wiring.

Now we're not sure exactly the methods used for hamster hunting on an airliner, but if they can't catch the little guy, may we suggest... wait for it... snakes on a plane?
