Different Industry Focus On Each Of Two Days
On Friday and Saturday, January 20-21, Helicopter Association
International and the FAA Safety Team (FAASTeam) will present two
safety seminars of benefit to a wide range of helicopter pilots.
Both will be held at at the Van Nuys Airport Airtel Plaza Hotel
& Conference Center in California.
On Friday, January 20, HAI, FAASTeam and the Professional
Helicopter Pilot Association (PHPA) will offer an afternoon of
sharing, networking and information. The seminar will cover a
variety of informative topics regarding helicopter safety. Guest
speakers from PHPA, HAI and the FAASTeam will discuss Vital
Operations and Info for ‘SOCAL’ Helicopter Operations,
What HAI is Doing & Can Do for You, The State of the Helicopter
Industry, Flying in the Wire Environment, and more! Do not miss
this opportunity to interact with the FAA, industry and HAI
speakers.
On Saturday, January 21, HAI and FAASTeam will present a free
helicopter safety seminar covering topics and information important
to all Helicopter GA, CFIs and student pilots. Guest speakers will
discuss mitigation strategies and best practices for increasing the
level of safety in helicopter operations, ways to protect yourself
in everyday operations and in the training environment. The seminar
will also have a presentation from local industry professionals who
will discuss the skills and background employers look for when
hiring pilots. Numerous handouts will include CDs, safety
magazines, and brochures.
