Dallas Airmotive Selected As Engine Maintenance Provider On C21A Program

Will Provide Engine Depot Maintenance

Dallas Airmotive, as a subcontractor to DynCorp Technical Services, LLCComputer Science Corporation, Applied Technology Division (CSC) of Fort Worth, Texas, has been selected to provide depot engine maintenance for the US Air Force fleet of 76 C21A aircraft. The contract covers a six-year period. The C21A is a military variant of the Learjet 35A and is powered by Honeywell TFE731 engines.

DynCorp CSC is the primary contractor and is responsible for providing all maintenance, supply, support and modification work on the fleet. They have designated Dallas Airmotive (DAI) to perform engine services including MPI (Major Periodic Inspection) and CZI (Compressor Zone Inspection) for these aircraft. Engine work will be carried out at DAI's Dallas/Carpenter Freeway facility for MPI services, and Premier Turbines in Neosho, MO for CZI services.

First inputs are expected to arrive in May, 2005. DAI anticipates the contract will result in more than 30 MPI/CZI inputs per year.

"We take great pride in the confidence that CSC and the US Air Force have placed in Dallas Airmotive," said DAI Vice President, Sales, Marketing and Service, Ralph Alberto. "We have the technical tools and experienced technicians to perform every level of service needed on the TFE731. In addition, our field support personnel are available 24 hours a day to assist aircraft in the field, no matter where they are in the world. We look forward to a long relationship with CSC and the US Air Force."
