CMC Electronics Welcomes New President and CEO
CMC Electronics says
Jean-Pierre Mortreux has been appointed President and Chief
Executive Officer.
The announcement said Mortreux took over the position
Tuesday.
Mortreux has over 25 years of experience in the aerospace
industry where he has achieved an impressive record of
accomplishments. Mortreux joins CMC from Thales Avionics North
America, based in Montreal, where he held the position of President
and CEO since 2002. Previously, he spent six years as President and
CEO of Thales Avionics Canada Inc. and Vice President / General
Manager of the company's Regional and Business Aircraft business
unit in Montreal. He was President and CEO of Sextant Avionique
Inc. USA (Miami and Seattle) from 1991 to 1995, during which time
he established the company's first subsidiary outside Europe.
Mortreux holds a degree in Engineering from the
�cole Sp�ciale des Travaux Publics in Paris, as well
as a degree in Public Administration and Economics from the
Institut d'�tudes Politiques in Paris.
Mortreux is a highly distinguished aviation executive who
brings extensive capabilities in leading the development,
marketing, manufacture and support of aerospace electronics
products and systems. The Board of Directors is very pleased to
welcome Mortreux at this exciting time in CMC Electronics'
evolution to lead the company's aviation electronics growth
initiatives.
CMC Electronics designs and produces electronics for the
aviation and global positioning markets. Its principal locations
are in Montreal, Quebec; Ottawa, Ontario; and Chicago (IL). The
company's subsidiary, NovAtel Inc., is headquartered in Calgary,
Alberta.
