Helicopter Simulator Market Active For Frasca

Orders, Deliveries For Helo FFSs Increasing

Frasca International Inc. says it continues to see an increase in helicopter business over the last decade and continues to receive orders for flight training equipment for both civil and military training applications. Recent orders include a Bell 206 TruFliteH and a second TruFliteH FTD configured as an S300 for the Bristow Academy located in Tutusville, FL. The Bristow FTDs will include TruVision Global 180-degree visual system with a custom database for KTIX (the Spacecoast Regional Airport) and the surrounding BRISTOW Academy training area.

A Sikorsky S76 Level B Full Flight Simulator (FFS) is on it’s way to Bristow Helicopters in Scotland to join two other Frasca FFSs (for the S92 and EC225) already in service. Also, nearing delivery is an AW139 Level 6 FTD for the Trinidad and Tobago Air Guard and a Bell 206 FTD for the Japanese Coast Guard.

The German Federal Police (NAMSA) have two devices in production (an EC155 FTD2 FNPT III MCC and an AS332 L1 FTD2 FNPT III MCC) and are upgrading their existing Frasca EC135 simulator. The EC135 upgrade will include relocation, recertification and common network development.

Frasca  says it is also nearing completion on a Bell 429 Level 7 Flight Training Device for use by Bell India. Frasca is working with Bell on two other projects which will be announced soon. The Bell Customer Academy is a longtime customer of Frasca’s with several other helicopter devices in use at the facility.
