WWII Aircraft To Perform Nationwide Fourth Of July Flyover

Will Honor The American Spirit In “United We Fly – Fourth Of July”

On Saturday, July 4, the Commemorative Air Force (CAF) will produce “United We Fly – Fourth of July,” a series of events and flyovers in multiple communities across the country.

The CAF is a national flying museum with more than 175 aircraft based in approximately 60 local units around the world. This Fourth of July, many of those units will take to the skies in honor of Independence Day and the American spirit.

Flyovers are already scheduled in the following communities:

  • Texas: Austin, Brownsville, Corsicana, Dallas, Houston, Midland, Cedar Creek
  • Colorado: Grand Junction
  • Indiana: Indianapolis
  • Lousiana: New Orleans
  • Minnesota: Minneapolis
  • Mississippi: Madison
  • Utah: St. George
  • Washington D.C.

Additional cities will continue to be added leading up to the event. “This year, more than ever, we hope to bring people together to commemorate Independence Day and honor our country’s values – freedom, equality, and human rights,” said Hank Coates, President, Commemorative Air Force. “Many of our units will be flying over their communities, and we hope people will step outside, look up, and join us for a few minutes of reflection on this national holiday.”
