Ballistic Recovery Systems (BRS) Announces Enhanced Repack Centers

Special Incentives Available For Cirrus, Cessna Owners

BRS Aerospace President Larry Williams announced Monday at AirVenture that they will begin providing full repack servicing of their whole airframe parachute recovery systems. The aircraft included will be the Cirrus Design SR20 and SR22, as well as Cessna's 172/182s. Every 10 years repacking is required for an STC'd unit and will be accomplished through a collaborative network of certified repair centers.

The training partnership is with Sim Train, LLC who will use full motion Advanced Airplane Training Devices (AATD). BRS and Sim Train will present the latest innovations in Scenario Based Training for parachute deployment decisions by incorporating actual deployment scenarios into the training session.

The incentive to have BRS do the 10-year repack servicing will be a certificate for one full hour of full motion simulator training. The 2010 repack pricing for and overhauled exchange parachute for Cirrus and Cessna units is $3,682.00 per unit (excluding labor for removal and replacement) to qualified service centers throughout the world. BRS is dedicated to offering very fast service in an effort to get you safely back in the air, therefore, they boast a 4 day turn-around cycle for units received at its facilities in South St. Paul, Minnesota.
