Brazilian planemaker Embraer will participate at the 56th
Experimental Aircraft Association’s (EAA) AirVenture in
Oshkosh, WI, where professional and enthusiasts gather annually to
take part in one of the world’s most famous aviation
events.
"We are excited to be participating for the third consecutive
year at EAA AirVenture, where guests travel from all over the world
to see the best in experimental aircraft, vintage warbirds and
exciting new aircraft," said Ernest Edwards, Embraer Vice
President, Marketing and Sales – USA, Canada, Mexico, and the
Caribbean – Executive Jets. "Visitors will experience the
full-scale Phenom 300 mock-up, with its spacious cabin, comfortable
seats, large baggage compartment, and state-of-the-art Garmin-based
Prodigy flight deck."
The super midsize Legacy 600 is in operation in 23 countries,
with more than 140 aircraft delivered. The entry-level Phenom 100
and the ultra-large Lineage 1000 deliveries are scheduled to begin
in the second half of this year, while the light Phenom 300 will
enter service in the second half of 2009. The midsize Legacy 500
and the midlight Legacy 450 jets, formally launched last April, are
expected to enter service in the second half of 2012 and 2013,
respectively.
This year’s Oshkosh will be held July 28-August 3 at
Wittman Regional Airport. Embraer will showcase the Phenom 300 jet
mock-up at the Company’s booth (S32), located at the
AeroShell Square. The Legacy 600 will be exhibited on July 28, and
JetBlue Airways will display an Embraer 190 jet on July 30.
