FlightServ Acquires Land For New FBO And Hangar Facility

To Be Built At Trenton Mercer Airport

After years of negotiation with Mercer County and the Trenton Mercer Airport Authority (KTTN), FlightServ has acquired a new ground lease upon which it will construct a brand-new FBO and hangar facility.

The ground lease is located at the end of Trenton Mercer Airport’s runway 34 off of taxiways Foxtrot and Delta. The 22-acre parcel was formerly home to the Naval Warfare Center.

FlightServ, with the help of Bascon Engineering, has put together plans to demolish the existing structure and construct a new facility on the land. The facility will include a full-service, state-of-the-art FBO with private corporate offices, and 80,000 square feet of corporate and transient hangar space. The hangar will be large enough to accommodate a Gulfstream 650ER and the newest offering from Bombardier: the Global 7500. On site, there will also be general aviation tie downs, a de-icing facility, jet fuel and avgas 100LL fuel, and a 44,000-gallon fuel farm.

“We are thrilled with the outcome of our negotiations and the plans in place for a premier facility,” said Jon Gruelle, FlightServ’s CEO. “We pride ourselves in being in tune to our customers’ needs in order to provide an exceptional experience, guaranteed. The new facility is an extension of this promise to our guests by providing premier accommodations in an optimum location on the airport field, along with personalized service beyond compare.”

With a background in charter operations, FlightServ personnel consistently provide service that goes the extra mile with a unique understanding of the needs and desires of flight crews and their passengers. Their staff members’ years of experience traveling around the country—from the perspective of both the pilot and the scheduler—has given the team insight into what makes for an exceptional FBO experience.

And with its location in the state’s capital, directly in-between Teterboro and Northeast Philadelphia, FlightServ helps guests land closer to prominent business and the esteemed Princeton University without the congestion of other nearby metropolitan airports, including: Teterboro, Morristown, Newark and Philadelphia. In addition, FlightServ is able to provide transient overflow hangar space for the greater New York area.
