Upset Recovery Flight Specialist to Expand Training Options

Aviation Performance Solutions Announces 5-Year Mission to "Crush Loss of Control In-Flight"

Loss of Control In-Flight is still the reigning king of safety issues to tackle, never slipping from the #1 cause of aviation fatalities globally. Worse yet, the forced pandemic-inspired grounding experienced by pilots around the world is expected to have a deleterious effect on pilot skill throughout the industry.

Aviation Performance Solutions (APS) has publicized its 2022 goal of taking on the safety issue, leveraging their experience in Upset Prevention and Recovery Training to "Crush the Loss of Control In-flight Threat Globally." Their new 5-year mission comes on the heels of their 2018 to 2021 efforts to deliver their upset training to 50,000 pilots annually at the end of their goal period. Under the project, the business will look to expand its footprint of training around the world, bringing its education to those further out from its home base. Of course, the goal, while well-intentioned, is somewhat self-serving since UPRT is their bread and butter. Nevertheless, the company stands poised in perfect position to offer its services to the aviation community being based at the Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport in the flight training holy land of Arizona.

Their facilities have everything needed to develop the best habit patterns vital to staying alive during a loss of control. APS has a range of aerobatic aircraft, with an Extra 300L, Slingsby Firefly, Marchetti S211 jet, and a Grob 120TP turboprop all perfect for real flight time. Their simulator collection hits all the bases needed for airline and corporate training, with Level-D sims for a C12 King Air, 737NG, Falcon 50EX, Grob 120TP, Lear 45, CRJ-200/900, as well as full motion sims
that simulates multiple aircraft.

“At APS, We Help Pilots Bring Everyone Home Safely, and the central focus of our 2022 mission is partnering with safety champions to accelerate adoption of APS UPRT,” said APS CEO Paul Ransbury. “After 25 years perfecting our proven solutions, APS crushes the LOC-I threat and already has the world's most effective lifesaving UPRT that serves the industry, from air carriers to corporate flight departments to owner/operators. We are now going all-in to scale our solutions globally to dramatically reduce this unnecessary loss of life associated with LOC-I.”
