Paragon Flight Training Strengthens Ties with Piper

A New Seminole and Frasca FTD Cement Their Inclusion in Piper's Flight School Alliance

Paragon Flight Training, has expanded its training equipment with the addition of a brand-new Piper Seminole at its campus at Page Field in Fort Myers, Florida.

Like other Piper customers as of late, Paragon elected to send its personnel to the manufacturer's Vero Beach facility to make the ferry flight themselves, breaking in the new plane with a little cross country. Paragon's pilots and students are more than jazzed to have a twin-engine in their inventory, oftentimes the jewel in the crown of young pilots as they cut their teeth on something that looks like a "real plane" as the public sees it. To go along with their new plane, the school has also procured a Frasca flight training device for the aircraft, set for delivery in summer of 2023.

“We chose Frasca as our partner for the Seminole device because when it comes to ultra-realistic, high-fidelity training devices, they are second to none," said Schoensee. "This device is the absolute best in the world at what it does. It features an exact button-for-button replica of the Seminole’s cockpit and characteristics, making it a deeply immersive and positive training experience. Students quickly acquire knowledge, skills and proficiency in the device, making the transition into multi-engine aircraft for the first time as fast and affordable as possible.”

Paragon's next steps will include the receipt of the last 4 of their Piper P100i aircraft on order, strengthening their ties with the manufacturer. Like many flight training facilities, Paragon has thrown in with the company to strengthen ties and become part of their network of trainers. Ron Gunnarson, vice president of sales and marketing at Piper, said the company was more than pleased to have them aboard.

“Piper Aircraft is happy to have Paragon Flight as a member of the Piper Flight School Alliance. We are honored to serve as a fleet partner for Paragon Flight, a school with an outstanding training curriculum and a state-of-the-art, new-production fleet, providing increased value to their students."
