Jet Source To Enter VLJ Fractional Fray With Spectrum Jets

Will Offer Ownership, Charter, Training Options

Jet Source recently announced a new business alliance with Spectrum Aeronautical LLC that offer new very light jets -- including the Spectrum 33 and Spectrum 40 -- for clients as part of its new fractional jet ownership program. Set to launch in September, Jet Source will enter the fractional jet ownership market with three offerings tailored to suit the interests of business, individuals and licensed pilots in private travel.

The fractional program was one of several announcements shared by Frank Milian, President and COO, at a commemorative 10-year anniversary evening reception last month at the company’s headquarters.

"On our 10-year anniversary, I am thrilled to announce this exciting new program with Spectrum," said Milian. "Our leadership team has worked hard to identify exactly what partnerships and offerings we want to bring to the fractional market. We feel confident we created a formula for success. Spectrum’s aircraft provide incredible fuel efficiency with the style and pizzazz our clients crave. Building on this, the team came up with three options that will be simple and cost competitive as we look to bring this new offering to market."

Those options include fractional ownership shares; an Owner Pilot Club, offering transition pilot training in a private "members only" flying club; and prepaid Travel Cards allowing customers to enjoy as many as six on-demand charter flights each year.

"We’re confident our clients will respond well to this new fractional ownership program offered exclusively by Jet Source," said Ian Ewing, vice president of Aircraft Management Sales. "Now, clients have more ways to fly with us. If they’ve experienced chartered flight they will be able to enhance their experience as an owner. Moreover, those with a pilot license can literally fly with us in an entirely new light. We already have a roster of pilots that will be thrilled to fly their very own high-powered jet."

Looking ahead to 2008, Jet Source also plans to open a new, state-of-the-art facility in Henderson, NV which will consist of two 35,000 square foot hangars and an executive terminal. The second location will offer aircraft charter, aircraft management, maintenance, avionics, and aircraft sales/acquisitions.

Currently, Jet Source boasts 120,000 square feet of hangar space, 35,000 square feet of office space, and a Fixed Base Operation (FBO) with a luxurious executive terminal at its headquarters in Carlsbad, CA at McClellan-Palomar Airport.

As ANN reported, Spectrum Aero moved its corporate headquarters to CRQ last month.
