Piper Aircraft Announces EASA Approved Flight Training Courses

Authorization Covers Instruction In Meridian, M500, M350 Aircraft

Piper Aircraft has announced European OK Aviation Group to establish a Piper authorized training center, offering EASA approved, specific flight training services for current Meridian, M500, and M350 production aircraft.

"We are exceedingly pleased that our European Piper customers will have the opportunity to take advantage of EASA approved training courses," said Simon Caldecott, President and CEO of Piper Aircraft. "The M-Class series was engineered as a family of reliable, high-performance, value proposition aircraft, seamless in transition as one pursues the next level of advanced aircraft and flight training. With the availability of specific training courses, we anticipate additional interest and investment in the versatile Piper product line."

OK Aviation Group has been a leader in flight training provision since 2006, receiving full EASA approval as an aviation training organization (ATO) in March of 2013. It is the only facility to offer a certified Piper Meridian flight training device in conjunction with practical firsthand training in the aircraft. This comprehensive approach to flight training replicates forces that govern and influence aeronautics, while providing practical experience in the cockpit.

"We have already trained more than fifty Piper customers from many European countries, and we have EASA type rating examiners on staff, recognized by most European national aviation authorities," reported Lubomir Cornak, President and CEO of OK Aviation Group.

Services to be provided for European Piper customers include ground school training, Meridian/M500/M350 simulator experience on the FTD Level 2 certified device, and active training in the actual aircraft of the patron. Training courses are available for currently certified Piper M-Class products. Time commitment and number of lessons vary, from two to five days and upward of seven classes, depending on the aircraft and current pilot rating.
