CT Engineering Group Selected By Airbus To Provide Nacelle Stress Engineering

Nacelle Is A Key Element In The Performance Of An Aircraft In All Phases Of Flight

Airbus has contracted The CT Engineering Group to provide them the Nacelle Stress Engineering Activities for the next three years.

CT Ingenierie, the French branch of The CT Engineering Group, will continue to support Airbus with the following aircrafts: A300, A320, A330, A340, A380, A350, A320neo and A330neo. Since 2000, CT Ingenierie has provided these engineering services to Airbus in Toulouse. CT has completed over 400,000 engineering hours in nacelle engineering activities.

For over 15 years CT Ingenierie has provided engineering solutions in areas such as design engineering, stress engineering and structural testing of components. Thanks to all this well of experience, and CT Ingenierie’s continuous improvement, Airbus has awarded The CT Engineering Group a three-year extension of nacelle serial activities.

A nacelle is the encasing of an engine outside the plane, found on the wing. The nacelle serves many functions; it provides an aerodynamic shape to the propulsive assembly, it protects the engine against impacts, it reduces the volume of the engine, and helps the airplane brake during landing. It is therefore a key element in the performance of the aircraft.
