Analyst Predicts Solid Growth In The Segment Over The Next Decade
New aviation market research, now available on ASDReports, indicates that the commercial aircraft MRO market will reach a value of $53.4 billion in 2014 as a result of growing demand for maintenance services to handle the global fleet of commercial aircraft.
The commercial aircraft MRO market is forecast to record solid growth rates over the next decade. Growing demand for air travel, particularly from emerging markets, will lead to an influx of new aircraft orders which require MRO services. The market is however facing many challenges, not least of which comes from OEMs, and traditional third party providers will need to adapt to this market development. As a result, the market will witness further consolidation, potentially changing the overall landscape for MRO for good.
An analyst responsible for the report, entitled "Commercial Aircraft Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul (MRO) Market 2014-2024: Prospects for Companies in Engine, Component, HMV & Line Maintenance", said that the prospects for the commercial aircraft MRO market "are encouraging given the number of aircraft expected to be active in the air over the next ten years and because of the need to improve efficiency and to meet air safety requirements."
The forecast of the market covers the period 2014-2024, with yearly market value calculated in US dollars. As well as the global commercial aircraft MRO market, 4 submarkets (engine maintenance, component maintenance, line maintenance and HMV/Mods) and 6 regional markets are forecast and analysed over the period 2014-2024 providing 24 discrete market segments. Analysis is informed by an interview with Bedek Aviation Group. The report also provides profiles of 22 leading companies operating within the market.
