Offered To High School Students Age 11-17 For The Flight Academy Ambition Program
The Partnership for Corporate Aviation Training, a 501c3 non profit organization, is proud to be working with the National Flight Academy on providing scholarships to the Flight Academy for high school students ages 11-17 years old. Applications are being accepted now, young men and women interested in an incredible week long experience involving science and technology are encouraged to apply.
This exciting six day scholarship called the Ambition Program is an amazing experience for four successful participants. Each 'mission' will test the participants mental agility, preparedness, and communication skills, while demonstrating the importance of teamwork and goal completion. Through consistent simulator experience and role-play, participants will have an opportunity to see firsthand how those in Naval Aviation respond to and avert emergencies in real life.
The action takes place on a virtual aircraft carrier called Ambition (CVT-11). Each deck of Ambition is designed scenically and theatrically to simulate a modern aircraft carrier. The program is next-generation innovative play with theme park-like sight and sound and premier technology.
John Fitch, PCAT board member quoted “This program takes all the aspects of what most people think aviators do and consolidates into a super fun-filled, and exciting week. These kids are learning all sorts of aviation and life skills that will stay with them for the rest of their lives and PCAT is proud to be offering scholarships for this adventure.”
Following a full week of activities, the Ambition Experimental Pilots’ squadron Commanders and the Captain will host a graduation ceremony to celebrate the participants major accomplishments.
PCAT is offering this opportunity for four students as per their schedule during 2014 or 2015 to attend a 6 day program in Pensacola, FL. The scholarship from PCAT includes the Flight Academy program (which includes lodging, activities and meals) and flight travel to and from the candidates' hometown.
