AD: The Boeing Company Airplanes

AD NUMBER: 2016-26-07

PRODUCT: Certain Boeing Model 747-100, 747-100B, 747-100B SUD, 747-200B, 747-200C, 747-200F, 747-300, 747-400, 747-400D, 747-400F, 747SR, and 747SP series airplanes.

ACTION: Final Rule

SUMMARY: This AD was prompted by an evaluation by the design approval holder (DAH) indicating that the nose wheel well is subject to widespread fatigue damage (WFD).

This AD requires modification, inspections, and corrective actions of the nose wheel body structure.

The FAA is issuing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.

DATES: This AD is effective February 15, 2017.
