San Juan Regional AirCare Selects Becker Digital Audio System

Will Be Installed In Company's Bell 429

San Juan Regional AirCare will integrate Becker Avionics’ DVCS6100 Digital Audio System into their new Bell 429 helicopter. The new aircraft will be delivered by Bell Helicopter to Air Methods Corporation for final completion of the avionics package and EMS interior in early April this month, with scheduled delivery to AirCare in July. The company said the DVCS6100 was chosen due to its unique ability to effectively manage and control all audio sources in the helicopter. Becker’s Digital multichannel audio and intercom system, with its software configurable profiles, provides the flexibility to specifically customize the system to meet the demanding operational requirements of AirCare.

The DVCS6100 manages all transceivers, receivers and audio warning sources in one central system and provides simulcast capabilities on 8 channels. Mike Berve, AirCare and Trauma Manager, said we selected “Becker’s DVCS6100 for our new Bell 429 helicopter based on the reputation of the product and the fact that we wanted a state-of-the-art avionics suite. Also, we believe the product is well suited to support our air ambulance operations. The excellent Man-Machine-Interface, outstanding field reliability, multiple radio handling capability, and its crystal-clear audio quality made the DVCS6100 our audio system of choice on our new EMS helicopter.”

"We are proud and excited that the AirCare program selected our product, further confirming that our Digital Audio system is continuing to gain wide acceptance throughout the Air Ambulance industry due to its unique features and benefits," said Brett Gardner, Director of Sales and Marketing at Becker Avionics. "It’s a great product, and we’re fortunate to be the brand leader in aircraft Digital Audio and intercom solutions for Helicopter and Fixed-Wing aircraft applications. The DVCS6100 is currently our best selling professional grade product.”
