NEW Dates Confirmed for DeLand Sport Aviation Showcase (DSAS21)

Careful Study of Available Dates and Options Results in Selection of January 28-30, 2021

NEW dates for the 2021 DeLand Sport Aviation Showcase have been confirmed by DSAS Boss, Jana Filip, after several days of consultation with her key volunteers, suppliers, and experts in various topic areas.

"We wanted, upon receiving word of the postponement of the November show, to look at late January for a new show date, but had to be sure that we were reasonably free of conflicts, would still field the necessary resources, and have a weather prognosis to support the event. And we do. We are now happy to confirm January 28-30, 2021 as the new event date for the 2021 DeLand Sport Aviation Showcase."

Preparation for the event has never slowed, despite concerns over the COVID-19 pandemic. The event staff has consulted with health officials and is planning for a number of programs and assets for DSAS21 that will endeavor to keep everyone as healthy as possible.

This now positions DSAS21 as the first event on the all-important sport aviation calendar... and gives them the opportunity to build upon nearly five years of success, thus far. Up to the point at which the November event was deemed to be unworkable, the DSAS staff were ahead of expectations in terms of exhibitor and other commitments, and are pleased to see that support for the event has not waned as they dealt with the realities of the COVID situation.

The next showcase will build on the extensive work done in all four successful prior events. A careful look at the 2019 ticket sales, gate receipts, exhibitor numbers and other data proved that DSAS19 reported $2 million in sales and services on the Showcase Field, with an economic impact to the community of over $1.5m.

Planning for the new January dates is well underway to make sure that those planning to be a part of DSAS21 are properly supported and prepared for the start of what is expected to be an outstanding sport aviation year and season.
