Cessna Encore+ Gets Rockwell Collins

Pro Line 21 System Includes Three 8x10 Displays

Cessna Aircraft Company has selected Rockwell Collins Pro Line 21 avionics for its Encore+ aircraft, scheduled to begin deliveries in February 2007.

"We're pleased to have Cessna's confidence in extending our flight deck avionics position in the Cessna family," said Denny Helgeson, vice president and general manager, Business and Regional Systems for Rockwell Collins. "Operators of the Encore+ will have access to the advanced situational awareness features that Citation CJ3 operators have already experienced with Rockwell Collins avionics."

"Pilots rave about the fully-integrated Collins Pro Line 21 suite in the CJ1+, CJ2+, and CJ3 ," said Joe Hepburn, Citation Encore+ Program Manager. "So, we are pleased to now offer it in the Encore+."  The avionics suite in the Encore+ is the most advanced available on this class of business jet.

The new Encore+ flight deck will feature an integrated Pro Line 21 avionics system that includes three 8x10 LCD displays; Rockwell Collins FMS-3000 flight management system; a fail-passive autopilot, Pro Line 21 Communication, Navigation and Surveillance (CNS) suite, solid state weather radar, and Rockwell Collins Integrated Flight Information Systems (IFIS). The advanced features of Rockwell Collins IFIS include electronic charts, graphical weather (photo) and enhanced maps overlays.
