Banyan Offers Assistance To Pilots On Bahamas & Caribbean Flying

Offers Products, Training... And Help With Scuba Diving!

Banyan Air Service reminds pilots it offers numerous services to help pilots with island flying.

Pilots can request an information packet with required forms and documentation, talk to customer support representatives with first hand knowledge of the Bahamas, and pilots also have easy access to CaribbeanFlyingAdventures.com in Banyan's flight planning room. Hangar63 (Banyan's Aviation Store) has equipment for island flying, such as life vests and rafts, GPSs, as well as books and videos on the Bahamas and Caribbean Islands.

In addition, Banyan has a technician available to fly in Banyan's C206 to the islands for emergency maintenance repairs. Banyan's convenient location at Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport is the perfect departure and arrival destination for flying to and from the Bahamas and Caribbean and United States Customs is available at FXE from 9:00 am - 9:00 pm daily.

"The Bahamas has always been special to Banyan," says company president Don Campion. "Since Banyan started in 1979, we have had flying clubs gather at Banyan before departing to the islands. We love sharing how easy it is to fly to the Bahamas and to provide the information, documentation and products those pilots need."

To enable Banyan CSRs to assist pilot's with general information on hotels, restaurants and the activities on each islands, Greg Rolle, Chief Aviation Specialist and Keith Gomez, Aviation Specialist of the Bahamas Tourist Office coordinated a training seminar at the Banyan facility. Rolle and Gomez reviewed required documentation and ports of entry for island flying.

Donnajeane Turnquest, Manager of Bahamas Out Island and Elizabeth Vance, Director of Stella Maris Resort presented the Bahamas Out Island experience for private pilots. Jennifer Gardiner, Manager of the Bahamas Tourist Office presented information on Nassau, Paradise Island, Cable Beach and Grand Bahamas Island and Earl Miller, General Manager of Bahamas Vertical Markets presented island sporting activities (bonefishing, snorkeling, scuba diving, boating, golf, and horseback riding).

Banyan is a 24-hour FBO providing comprehensive aviation services, including aircraft fueling, hangar services, ground support, aircraft sales and management, heavy maintenance and turbine engine service, structural repairs, avionics service, installations, and aftermarket sales, as well as, aircraft parts sales.
