EAA Eases The Pain Of Conversion To Light-Sport Aircraft

Guide, Forms And Even The "Experimental" Sticker

The Experimental Aircraft Association is making it easy for ultralight owners who want to be a part of the light-sport aircraft revolution, as EAA has developed a new conversion kit that is now available to all ultralight owners.

The all-inclusive kit allows an ultralight owner to follow the process to convert it to experimental light-sport aircraft (E-LSA) category.  The E-LSA Conversion Kit features all the essential items, including:

  • A 15-page, step-by-step conversion guide
  • All necessary FAA forms, including fully completed samples
  • Pre-cut, standard instrument/control labels and placards
  • Fireproof dataplate
  • "Experimental" category sticker

"EAA makes the transition process from ultralight to experimental light-sport aircraft simple with this kit," said Charlie Becker, EAA aviation services director.  "From applying for your own custom N-number to the right place for the dataplate and Experimental sticker, this kit covers all the bases."

EAA's E-LSA Conversion Kit is available for just $12.99 for EAA members or $19.99 for non-EAA members, plus shipping.  To order, call EAA Membership Services at 800-JOIN-EAA (800-564-6322) or go to the EAA website.
