Crossville Memorial Airport To Host Fly-In September 28

Static Displays Will Include Cobra Attack Helicopter, F-4U Corsair

An open house and fly-in will be held at Crossville Memorial Airport (KSCV) in Crossville, TN on September 28.

The event will celebrate the airport's 79th year of operation, and is scheduled to begin at 9:00 am local time.

Organizers say that there will be a variety of military and civilian airplanes and helicopters on display. Among them will be Cobra attack helicopter and an F-4U Corsair. The event will feature helicopter and airplanes rides for a fee, as well as drawings for one ride each in a P51 Mustang, a Cobra helicopter, and a Huey H1 helo.

The Crossville Chronicle reports that the event is free to the public. Food and refreshment will be for sale for the day and there will be inflatables for the smaller kids. Planes and helicopters will land and take off throughout the day and there will be static displays as well. "This is a great opportunity to get a close-up look at many different kinds of airplanes," the organizers said.
