Pilot Connections To Hold Job Fair in Phoenix

Event To Raise Money For Future Aviators

Pilot Connections will conduct its next job fair in Phoenix on Feb. 19, 2005, at The Crowne Plaza Airport Hotel from 1200 to 1600 local time. Pilot Connections is a new joint venture to host job fairs and to promote aspiring pilots in their career goals through awarding scholarships. The organization has awarded more than $28,000 in aviation scholarships since 2002.

Pilot Connections was created by industry veterans Mike Peters and Lori Clark to provide a link between pilot candidates, employers and educational institutions, with the net proceeds used to fund scholarships.  The cost to attend the fair is $50 if registered by Feb. 4, $65 if registered by Feb. 17 and $75 at the door.

"Pilot Connections is something that we do in our spare time, with the only reward being giving back to an industry that has been good to us." said Lori Clark, founder of Clark Aviation Consulting. "We are proud to be able to offer these opportunities, both for the employers as well as the candidates, in an affordable way."

The job fair is a good opportunity for educators, employers and pilots to network. Participating companies include: Delta Connection Academy, Flight Safety Academy, AirNet Express, America West Airlines, Atlantic Southeast Airlines, Frontier Airlines and Southwest Airlines.
