Two New Major Features Included In The Upgrade
ForeFlight Mobile 6.3 is now in the App Store with two major new features: Track Log and Weight & Balance.
ForeFlight Mobile 6.3 introduces Track Log, a cloud-enabled flight recorder that allows you to capture your flight track data, upload it to the cloud, export it to third party flight review and mapping applications, and share flight tracks with others. Track Log is used by instructors and students to debrief their flights, by operators that need to collect GPS data in support of EFB airport moving map authorizations, and by pilots who want to share their flights. Track Log is built upon ForeFlight’s Sync system and effortlessly makes track data available on all your mobile devices.
ForeFlight Mobile version 6.3 also includes a new feature for ForeFlight Mobile Pro subscribers, Weight & Balance. This new tool allows you to quickly determine whether your aircraft is loaded within its envelope. Weight & Balance is pre-loaded with many aircraft models and ForeFlight Mobile’s smart setup interview configures your aircraft based on FAA Type Certificate Data Sheet and Service Bulletin records.
In addition to Track Log, Annotations are now available in the ForeFlight Mobile Standard subscription (previously a Pro subscription only feature). Used in conjunction with ForeFlight Airport Diagrams, Annotations is a powerful tool for navigating airports large and small. Use annotations on procedures in the Plates view and any document in the Documents view.
