Connected Panel Enabled Application For iPad
AvConnect on Tuesday announced its partnership with Aspen
Avionics on the launch of Connected Panel technology, integrating
AvConnect’s wireless iPad application and Aspen’s
certified aircraft panel avionics to capture real-time aircraft
performance and flight data.
“Our partnership with Aspen on Connected Panel technology
has given us a collective opportunity to truly automate aircraft
and pilot record-keeping,” stated Erik Murrey, CEO of
AvConnect. “Aspen’s vision for an open platform allows
our iPad application to wirelessly capture every second of every
flight. The most exciting news for pilots is their post-flight work
is greatly reduced. Their complete aircraft performance and all
their pilot-related records are instantly uploaded.”
The Aircraft Manager for iPad by AvConnect will work directly
with Connected Pilot, Aspen’s first Connected Panel product.
AvConnect’s cloud-based services will organize, manage and
populate flight data into a customer’s account, and further
disseminate that information to fleet or service managers.
AvConnect’s iPad application also works in or out of network
coverage, allowing pilots to manage their data right from the
cockpit. Once a pilot is on the ground, any new information
collected from Connected Pilot will be available immediately, and
will automatically sync with their web-based account.
Erik Murrey also added, “As Aspen continues to foster
additional partnerships through Connected Panel Enabled
applications, we look forward to expanding on these capabilities to
include our existing engine analytics and trending
products.”
