Aerox Introduces Boomula O2 Delivery System

Simple, Smart, and Potentially Life-Saving

Aerox Aviation Oxygen Systems LLC is a Bonita Springs, Florida-based purveyor of fixed and portable aviation oxygen systems, aircraft oxygen masks, oxygen system accessories, and services pertaining to such. Owned and operated by the Ashton family since 1981, the company is certified to ISO9001:2015 and AS9100D, and operates FAA Repair Station YXQR567B.

As a provider of OEM systems serving Diamond, Agusta, Piper, and many others high-profile airframers, Aerox is capable of designing emergency and portable oxygen systems for both air and ground use.

Aerox CEO Scott Ashton is an aerospace engineer and an accomplished pilot and the holder of an Airline Transport Pilot Certificate. He is an active flight instructor rated in airplanes, gliders and helicopters, and a FAAST Team representative.

In keeping with its It’s Toxic to Fly Hypoxic ethos, Aerox has brought to market a unique headset accessory to which it has ascribed the memorable appellation Boomula, a portmanteau that concisely describes the product’s structure and purpose—a headset-mounted boom terminating in an oxygen cannula.Compatible with most continuous-flow portable and installed aircraft oxygen systems, the Boomula mounts to any aviation headset and connects directly to extant aircraft oxygen flowmeters. In addition to the device’s integral stick-on-cup-mountable boom and O2 cannula, Aerox ships each Boomula with a hard-mount compatible with Bose’s popular A-20 headset, and an Aerox Oxy-Saver pendant. The latter product is an altitude-compensated oxygen conserving device that affords up to 75-percent savings of supplemental oxygen. The Oxy-Saver pendant increases oxygen flow duration by up to eight-times, is compatible with Aerox flow control and other oxygen systems capable of delivering low O2 flow, and features soft nasal prongs for enhanced comfort. The device is designed for oxygen delivery up to 18,000-feet MSL.

Good looking and easy to use, Aerox’s Boomula is a simple and effective solution to one of general aviation’s most insidious and lethal dangers—hypoxia. To borrow from Aerox’s literature: “The best pilots know; even mild hypoxia degrades your skills and puts you and your passengers in danger. Arrive awake and alert with Aerox Oxygen Systems.”
