Five Winners Will Be Chosen For July 30th Flight
Five lucky attendees at EAA AirVenture 2010 will be taken for
a ride of a lifetime in the "Spirit of Goodyear" blimp as winners
in the "I Wanna Blimp Ride" Sweepstakes. The five sweepstakes
winners will take to the skies over the AirVenture grounds and
northeast Wisconsin for a one-hour ride aboard the "Spirit of
Goodyear" beginning at 1615 on Friday, July 30, conditions
permitting.
"We are happy that the world-famous Goodyear Blimp will again be
part of the festivities at Oshkosh!" said Eric Varndell, Global
Marketing Manager for Goodyear Aviation tires. "It's a dream of
many pilots and aviation enthusiasts to have this unique aviation
experience, and we are excited to once again provide the
opportunity to fly 'low and slow' in the Goodyear blimp for a few
lucky AirVenture attendees."
The "Spirit of Goodyear," which will arrive on Tuesday, July 27
and depart on Monday, August 2, will be flying regularly during the
festivities. In addition, it will be moored near the EAA AirVenture
Museum's Pioneer Airport for up-close viewing at other times,
giving visitors a unique view of an aircraft that is commonly seen
only from afar.

Poberezny, EAA chairman/president and AirVenture chairman. "The
experience of riding above 'The World's Greatest Aviation
Celebration' in Goodyear's legendary blimp is one to be

The 58th annual edition of EAA AirVenture, will be held July
26-August 1 at Wittman Regional Airport in Oshkosh. Entries
will be accepted beginning 0900 on Monday July 26 through 1700 on
Thursday, July 29 at the following booths on the AirVenture
grounds: Goodyear Aviation, Aircraft Spruce, and Desser Tire.
Sweepstakes winners will be notified via telephone on the evening
of Thursday, July 29.
