Gyro Revolution Opens Florida Operation

New York Operation to Relaunch Brookhaven Location

Gyro Revolution is a Gyroplane sales, service, and training concern. The Ronkonkoma, New York-based company is among the U.S.’s premier gyroplane flight-training institutions and offers multiple levels of gyroplane certification.

A gyroplane certificate is required to fly a gyroplane. Certificated pilots holding, at minimum, a sport pilot rating may operate gyroplanes after obtaining a gyroplane endorsement on their existing pilot certificate. Such an endorsement is issued by a gyroplane CFI once an applicant has undergone apposite training and demonstrated requisite proficiencies. On average, reasonably skilled pilots complete the aforementioned training in ten-to-twenty hours (flight-time).

Gyroplane ratings span: gyroplane sport pilot, gyroplane private pilot, gyroplane commercial pilot, and gyroplane certified flight instructor.

Gyro Revolution recently opened a satellite operation in Florida’s Miami/Fort Lauderdale area. The new facility is located on Hollywood, Florida’s North Perry Airport (HWO) and offers demo and training flights in the Cavalon 915iS gyroplane—a two-place aircraft built by Hildesheim, Germany’s AutoGyro.

Since its 2003 founding AutoGyro has produced upwards of 3,100 gyroplanes. AutoGyro models are developed in-house, and the company produces more than ninety-percent of its aircrafts’ constituent parts. Moreover, AutoGyro’s are the world’s only gyroplanes certified for commercial flight operations.

Additionally, Gyro Revolution’s New York operation is about the business of reopening its operation on Shirley, New York’s Brookhaven Calabro Airport (HWV)—where demo and training flights will again be available in AutoGyro’s popular, Rotax-powered Cavalon model.

Gyro Revolution enjoyed successful AirVenture 2023, putting in strong showing at the AutoGyro U.S.A. main aircraft display. A highlight of Gyro Revolution’s Oshkosh campaign was company founder Robert Lutz’s breaking away from the his company’s display to serve as a guest announcer at the ultralight field during a flight-demonstration of the world’s first roadable aircraft—GyroMotion’s Calidus 915iS. Designed and built by Czech aerospace concern GyroMotion, the Calidus 915iS is an LSV-registered gyroplane certified for road use. The machine is powered by an electric drivetrain and has an advertised range of up to 31-statute-miles.

Gyro Revolution has traveled the world for purpose of identifying the finest gyroplane manufacturers and offering the products of such to its customers. While the company caters primarily to individuals requesting custom-built gyroplanes, Gyro Revolution occasionally stocks aircraft for general sales. Currently, Gyro Revolution’s in-stock inventory comprises models produced by Germany’s AutoGyro and France’s DTA sarl.
