Meigs Saved Again... Until June 4th

The pendulum has swung again... and with amazing speed. The Friday afternoon vacating of a TRO to keep Chicago's two-faced Mayor from further destruction of Meigs Field seemed to have struck the final death knell for the embattled airport... but not with the incredible NEVER-SAY-DIE efforts of the Friends of Meigs at work.

Just hours after Circuit Judge William Maki removed a TRO issued last month barring any further destruction of the airport, and also dismissed a suit that contested Meigs' closing; a ruling late Friday by the Illinois Appellate Court granted a stay on behalf of the Friends of Meigs that bars any further city airport demolition until June 4.

With the holiday upon us, information is sketchy... but we're working on further updates... be sure to check with us regularly for more info. One thing's for sure -- there is no percentage in betting against the perseverance of the Friends of Meigs... these folks are amazing.
