Aero-News learned over the weekend that Diamond Aircraft has
named Columbia Aircraft Sales as the exclusive distributor for
Diamond aircraft in New England, New York, New Jersey and
Pennsylvania.
"Columbia brings more than 25 years of aviation experience and
deep familiarity with aircraft sales and customer service across
nearly every segment of the market," said Peter Maurer, President
of Diamond Aircraft. "Their expertise, consultative sales approach
and excellent reputation in the important northeast U.S. market
will help more pilots appreciate the advantages of Diamond
aircraft."
Diamond offers a comprehensive fleet of personal and training
aircraft, including the two-place DA20, the G1000-equipped DA40
Diamond Star and the turbodiesel DA42 Twin Star. The company is
also developing the Diamond D-Jet, a five-place luxury personal jet
powered by the FADEC controlled Williams FJ33 turbine and equipped
with Garmin's all-glass flight deck and autopilot.
"Diamond Aircraft’s lineup is an excellent fit with
Columbia Aircraft Sales Inc.," said Columbia President and co-owner
Art Maurice. "Diamond’s aircraft range from primary trainers,
to the exciting new DA42 twin diesel, to the state-of-the-art D-JET
personal jet. This new product line will enable us to address a
broad range of customer flying needs and missions, and we’re
already seeing strong customer interest in every Diamond
model."
The Columbia group of companies offers a full range of FBO
services -- including sales, service, charter and management of
jet, turboprop, and piston-powered aircraft -- along the east coast
of the US.
