Tamarack Aerospace Names Brian Cox President

Succeeds Entrepreneur Gary Heavin Who Was Serving As Interim CEO Of The Active Winglet Manufacturer

Tamarack Aerospace Group has appointed Brian Cox as president. Brian joined Tamarack in 2015 and previously served as the company’s Chief Operating Officer. He holds degrees from University of Idaho in Accounting and Information Systems, as well as an MBA from the University of Washington. Prior to joining Tamarack Brian served in leadership roles in the forestry services sector.

Gary Heavin, who was serving as interim CEO, said “Since he joined the company as Chief Operating Officer, Brian has been a key driver of Tamarack’s recent growth and has consistently demonstrated good judgement and strong leadership. He is a positive and energetic influence on our business and we are fortunate to have him in a leadership role. This is an exciting time in Tamarack’s development and Brian is a natural choice to continue us on that trajectory.”

“The rapid expansion of our dealer network, our growing footprint in Sandpoint, our FAA Repair Station authorization, plus the high quality of our Active Winglet kits are just a few examples of Brian’s leadership. He has a proven track record of making things happen and constantly moving the organization forward. Brian’s expanded role is great news for Tamarack and means that there are more good things to come” said Tamarack Founder Nick Guida.

Brian Cox added “It’s a privilege to have Gary and Nick’s support in my new role, but just as importantly I am very fortunate to work with such an incredible team at Tamarack. What we’ve been able to achieve in the aerospace industry in a short timeframe is remarkable for our size, and I continue to be excited by the potential of our Active Winglet technology.”

Tamarack Active Winglets are the only aerodynamic technology on the market today that can reduce time to climb and fuel burn, while increasing range and aircraft stability, without any structural reinforcement, yielding significant time and cost savings. Tamarack Active Winglets are approved via EASA and FAA Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) for installation on the Cessna CJ, CJ1, CJ1+, M2, CJ2, CJ2+, CJ3 and CJ3+ business jets.
