Two Day Event Coming March 11 & 12, 2021
After careful consideration and review of the current worldwide COVID-19 pandemic trends, Women in Aviation International announced today that its 32nd Annual International Women in Aviation Conference will be held virtually on March 11 and 12, 2021. The all-virtual platform will allow members and industry friends to attend from the convenience of their home and/or office.
While additional registration and agenda details will be forthcoming, WAI plans to deliver all the outstanding content of its trademark conference experience through education sessions, inspiring keynote speakers, virtual exhibit hall, personal and professional development seminars and workshops, as well as 2021 scholarship awards, Pioneer Hall of Fame induction celebration, and networking opportunities.
"The safety and wellbeing of our members, partners, exhibitors, attendees, and staff is our first priority. We had hoped to gather in-person next year, but as we continued to monitor and follow the local and state recommendations and guidelines for Reno, Nevada, not to mention the growing impact of COVID-19 worldwide, we have made the difficult decision to cancel our in-person event. Thank you to our members and exhibitors who took the time to respond to our surveys. We took all of your feedback into account when making this decision," said Allison McKay, WAI CEO.
"Similar to our virtual Girls in Aviation Day that reached participants in 58 countries, WAI is confident that our virtual event will enable us to reach more of our members and interested participants around the world than we might have with an in-person event."
