NO Kidding... It REALLY IS Out Of This World
PS Engineering is bringing satellite
radio entertainment to general aviation with an upgrade to their
PXE7300. PS Engineering, proud to be a leader in general aviation
audio systems, has made many technological contributions in cockpit
audio, both in audio control and In-Flight Entertainment (IFE).
With this latest low cost add-on to an already very capable IFE, PS
Engineering, Inc. makes yet another stride in making audio control
more affordable.
Following FAA approval, the PXE7300 with Option SR will add
Sirius Satellite Radio capability to an aviation audio
system. Sirius offers 60 streams of 100% commercial-free
music, plus more than 40 streams of sports, news and entertainment,
with service available across the entire United States. You just
can't find radio like this on any other dial. The satellite module
is a remote mounted box that is controlled by the PXE7300 panel
unit.
"Since we introduced the PXE7300 last year, we have had many
requests for a satellite based system", said President Mark
Scheuer, "The PXE7300 platform gives us the user and hardware
interface that will provides us access to this new satellite
technology. It will also help us to gain a quick turn to market
with an FAA certified system. Sirius Satellite Radio provides
entertainment and news like no other".
"Sirius Satellite Radio is ideal for general aviation, because
the same stations are available anywhere in the country. The
programming variety is extraordinary, and you'll never lose a
channel as you fly along your route."
