Just Married: Curtiss-Wright Controls, Synergy Microsystems

Curtis Wright Completes $49 Million Acquisition

Curtiss-Wright Controls, Inc. announced today that it has completed the stock purchase of Synergy Microsystems for $49 million in cash.

Curtiss-Wright Controls is the motion control segment of Curtiss-Wright Corporation. A developer of board-level solutions for real-time embedded applications, Synergy will operate as a business unit of Curtiss-Wright Controls Embedded Computing group.

"The acquisition of Synergy solidifies Curtiss-Wright’s leadership in the embedded computing market space," said George J. Yohrling president Curtiss-Wright Controls. "Synergy brings exciting new technology and further diversifies our product offerings into a broad array of military platforms and commercial and industrial markets."

Synergy’s customers include Northrop Grumman, Raytheon, Lockheed Martin, General Dynamics, United Defense, Boeing, SAIC, DRS and L3. Headquartered in San Diego, Synergy is known as an innovator in providing real time embedded computing solutions and customer service in military, aerospace, commercial and industrial markets.
