NBAA2008 Will Take Place from Monday, October 6 through
Wednesday, October 8
This October, NBAA continues its tradition of providing the
business aviation community with the world’s largest purely
civil aviation trade show at the 61st Annual Meeting &
Convention (NBAA2008) in Orlando, FL. NBAA2008 will take place from
Monday, October 6 through Wednesday, October 8 – a departure
from the usual Tuesday-to-Thursday schedule. Orlando’s Orange
County Convention Center (OCCC) and Orlando Executive Airport (ORL)
will host the highly anticipated three-day event.
Ranked eighth among U.S. trade shows, according to Tradeshow
Week 200, last year’s Convention broke all records and marked
60 years of NBAA’s long-standing commitment to the business
aviation community. NBAA2008 is building upon that success, and is
expected to draw more than 30,000 Attendees from around the world
and will feature more than 1,000 Exhibitors.
With over one million square feet of exhibit space, the
spectacular north and south halls of the OCCC will accommodate
NBAA2008 indoor exhibits and over 100 Information Sessions. ORL
– one of the preeminent general aviation airports in the
country – will providespace for the NBAA2008 Static Display,
where Attendees will be able to view over 100 state-of-the-art
aircraft. The airport also now has Customs services available right
on the field.
“We’re ecstatic that ORL is providing Customs
on-site at the airport, making it more convenient than ever for our
international Attendees to fly their aircraft directly to this
year’s event.” says NBAA’s Kathleen Blouin,
senior vice president, conventions, seminars & forums.
As in years past, NBAA2008 will feature an Opening General
Session (OGS) that includes leaders from industry and government.
Featured speakers will include Civil Aviation Organization
President Roberto Kobeh González and famed political couple
James Carville and Mary Matalin.
Immediately following the OGS, Information Sessions will begin,
offering something for business aviation professionals in every
segment of the industry.
