Super Bowl TFR Enforced With Shoot-Down Order

The Game is Really, Really Threatened, You See...

The "San Diego Channel," Channel 10, is reporting that "Military aircraft will enforce a no-fly zone over Qualcomm Stadium and surrounding areas in the hours before, during and after Super Bowl XXXVII in San Diego later this month, city officials said Thursday."

The ban on advertising that the NFL can't control extends to blimps and banner planes; and the flight ban covers private flying, within seven miles of the stadium. And, if you bust the no-fly zone, you could be shot down in flames, to torch the neighborhoods below.

Of course, the no-fly zone doesn't extend to the people who matter to the rulers. Police and military will still have a free-flight zone. Commercial flights [doesn't anyone remember September 11, and what types of aircraft were involved? --ed] can come and go as they please; and, in a rare moment of common sense, medical flights won't be shot down, either.

But... it you're simply trying to get your family and your Mooney from Point A to Point B below FL 180, you'd better reconsider, or initiate evasive maneuvers. [Remember, an ASRAAM can pull 50 Gs, and it's really fast --ed.] Good luck. Enjoy the game. You're grounded.
