International Women’s Air & Space Museum To Host Rocket Day

Set For June 12, 2019

The International Women’s Air & Space Museum (IWASM) will host its annual Rocket Day on June 12, 2019 from noon to 3 p.m. IWASM will team up with the Great Lakes Science Center and NASA’s Glenn Research Center for an afternoon of fun learning about the science of rockets. Children will hear about the history of rockets, witness the launching of various rockets, and set off film canister rockets (weather permitting).

Admission is $1 (non-refundable) per child via cash or check. Payments made online via credit card or PayPal will be subject to a service fee. Space is limited and the last few years have sold out. Registration is required. Children in attendance will receive a goodie bag to take home at the end of the event. Those interested in attending can call 216.623.1111 for more information.

This event is sponsored by the Bede Family Foundation.

The museum offers free admission. Exhibit hours are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., seven days a week. Office, gift shop and research center hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.
