Linden Blue Talks To ANN About The Spectrum 33's First Flight

We promised... and now we deliver. That statement is certainly true for Spectrum's Linden Blue, who saw the light jet he announced at last November's NBAA conference -- to the surprise of everyone in attendance -- take it's first flight last weekend.

"That almost took our breath away," says Blue in today's ANN Special Feature, talking about the Spectrum 33's first-ever liftoff Saturday from terra firma. "Here they are at 4,500 feet of elevation, and I think the plane got off the ground in less than 800 feet. That's not at gross weight, though."

"[The pilots] had to throttle back as they went through 60 knots," adds Blue. You can almost hear his grin... no, you can hear it.
