SiriusWings Urges Cessna Owners To Keep Their Planes Out Of The Headlines

Increase Antitheft Security With A Window Lock

Aero-News has reported on a series of airplane thefts recently involving high-wing Cessnas, from Skyhawks commandeered by drunken teens to, most recently, a C182 stolen last month from an airport near Tucson, AZ... which was then evidently flown down to Mexico, unlikely to ever be seen again.

More than ever before, aircraft owners must be certain their aircraft are locked and secured -- and SiriusWings is happy to help. The company recently announced their new STC that enables owners of 172 Series, 182 Series, 180s, 185s, 206 and 210 Series Cessnas to add heightened security to their aircraft with a window lock.

The company's window lock is flush-mounted and positioned on the left door window.

"All Cessna owners realize that the lock on your door only locks the handle," says Kim Huntington of SiriusWings.
With this window lock, you can close the door with the window open, rotate the inside handle to the fully-locked position and then close and lock the window from the outside.

The window lock STC will ensure that no one can open a Cessna single-engine airplane with a "fits-all" key or nail file.

"And no more doors popping open from wing flex in the wind," adds Kim.

The STC documents are available for $125, with the locks purchased separately for approximately $8.00 each. Time for installation is approximately four to five hours, which includes installing the window lock and changing the door and baggage door locks which are covered by the STC.
