Milestone: Cirrus Design Receives ODAR Designation

Cirrus Design has received an ODAR (Organization Designated Airworthiness Representative) designation from the FAA. This authority allows Cirrus to train, evaluate, and manage its own team of airworthiness designees. This additional responsibility allows flexibility within the company to support changing resource needs driven by various projects.

Cirrus employees, specifically trained as authorized representatives of ODAR, under Jeff Holter, Cirrus' ODAR Compliance Manager, will now have more efficient and internal control over functions such as airworthiness approvals, exporting, and conformity inspections.

President and COO, David Coleal said, "The ODAR designation is a testament to the FAA's confidence in our quality systems and personnel.  It also means that we have once again raised the bar for efficiency and customer service so that our owners receive the most innovative, technologically advanced and safe airplane in the least amount of time."
